This is one of my favourites for texture. Its too bad the amazing grain pattern can't be appreciated with the naked eye,
but I include another larger image of the cocobolo.

This wood looks completely black
Bocote ![]() ![]() East Indian rosewood ![]() ![]() Mahogany ![]() ![]() Makore ![]() ![]() Teak ![]() ![]() Lignum Vitae ![]() ![]()
Lignum vitae is the heaviest known wood, about 1.3 times as dense as water. Very durable wooden bearings used to be made out of
this wood. Its grain looks fairly distinct from the other woods.
